Tonight my sister in law Krissy, had a big Valentine bash for all the kids at her house. It was really fun, and she always goes above and beyond to make sure the kids have a great time. It was fun for us grown ups to have an excuse to hang out too. Chad is out of town for the week so he didn't get to come, I am sure Kemp will tell him all about it on the phone tomorrow though. It was sweet, all the older kids started making Valentine's for each other, and the younger kids. I really love this Valentine's thing.

Outside of our Hotel by the River. It is beautiful. Andie hates stopping for pictures, she loves running around.

Every year Chad and I take the kids up to Riggins (small town by McCall) we stay the weekend and swim, and see the ice sculptures. It is so much fun, and a great tradition we have. This year most of Chad's siblings and his Dad came along too. We had so many kids in the Hotel! I should have taken more pictures, that is why I will probably post again with some of Krissy's pictures!

Book Club

I am so excited we had our first Book Club meeting last night. We have been talking about it forever, so we finally decided to do it. The seven of us will meet once a month to discuss the book selection, and we chat about lots of other important things of course! Men, kids, clothes, politics......we all know woman like to talk.:) The book for this month is Alicia's pick, The Time Travelers Wife. I am super excited to read it, I have heard lots of great things about it. It will be great to have so many great books to read, and they will all be so different, and it is so fun just to be with great friends. Thanks Jess for putting it all together, and for the great food.

Yes, I know I am a little nerdy about Carrie Underwood. I have loved her since American Idol, she is just so talented, and actually wholesome. If you have a minute you have to watch her performance at last nights People's Choice Awards. She took home 3 by the way. I am excited this is her next single, she sang the heck out of this song.....amazing.

It was a great way to end 2008. Sledding with our good friends Scott and Sommers, plus little Shaydon. Then it was dinner with family, and bringing in the New Year with games and Teyan and Jessica. It was our first trip to Grimes Creek this winter, but definately not the last. We love sledding. 2008 was a great year, and a hard year, with some difficult things to deal with. But our little family is stronger, and happier then ever. I am optimistic about 2009, and I know with Chad here with me we can bring our family through any trial. We have the 2 best children we could ever have wished for, they make me laugh, and sometimes make me crazy :) every day. I am blessed for every year with them, more like every moment actually. (thanks for the pictures I stole sommers, and Krissy)

See, I am kinda domestic!

Christmas was so great this year, I didn't want it to end! I did a bad job of taking pictures though cause I was filming with our new camera most of the time. I didn't even take any of my kids opening presents at my house. Same thing at my mom's! I am just not used to having a video camera again. Anyway it was a fun day of family, food and laughter. What could be better!?

I am loving all this snow in Boise! The other day we got the 4-wheelers and sleds out, and we did one of the funnest things ever!! One of my fondest childhood memories is Hookie bobbing with my brothers and sister. But back then we went behind the car.......not the safest. It is definatly something my kids are already loving, and will hopefully remember their whole lives too. We had a great time, even though the boys starting throwing the snowballs, what is it with men and snowballs?? It was like WWIII out there, the only people safe was a pregnant Emily, and babies! I started holding Andie, and standing by Emily so I could catch a break! I am gonna get those boys back when they are least expecting :)
